Re: Pet Size
/agreed with OP. After experiences from my server of players griefing by covering mailboxes and NPCs with oversized mounts, I think Blizzard would want to avoid that with hunter pets. Can you imagine two or three brainbugs in the SW AH at their current size? Then again, one would be bad enough.
I have a Rhino, she's big enough for me. The size of the pet shouldn't be the real source for bragging rights, after all.

Mailbox griefing isn't a problem anymore since they added tons of new mailboxes in every town.Ijomi wrote:/agreed with OP. Also, your pet is already huge - the "pro-growth'ers" are just asking for the same thing for their pets.

EDIT: personally what I'm rooting for is selective growth - not across the board, just in specific cases where the pet should be larger, e.g. devilsaur.
Re: Pet Size
I disagree. The pets are the sizes they are for a reason. As it is, when I visit the Engineer-only AH in Dalaran, I usually leave Clayburn on "stay" outside the shop as a courtesy to others so that he doesn't block anyone's access or cause a problem. And although I adore the big lug...his size does become an issue when I end up with heroic HoR for my daily random and get a tank that insists everyone must squeeze into those alcoves behind Falric and/or Marwyn to get the mobs to come to him. Some of the other "bulkier" pets already cause problems in PVE like that...I know that on my tanking characters, one of my biggest betes noir is those doggone Sholazar wasps always in the way, making it difficult to see if adds might be coming or making my targeting difficult. I really don't think pets need to be any bigger than they are now.

Re: Pet Size
I actually do the HHoR corner w/o trouble using sapphire hive queen... as for the devilsaur I'd be okay with him staying same size as long as he would just keep the growth effect in combat...Tahlian wrote:I disagree. Re: Pet Size
Making someone run to the bank instead of just outside the AH is a bit of griefing all the same. I agree with Tahlian, my rhino does not go into small public spaces with me....and to be honest, I wouldn't mind her being smaller in HoR either. Or smaller in general. Larger pet size is a vanity issue, not a practical one....and it only takes a few bad apples to spoil the bunch. I'm hoping Blizzard errs on the side of caution, and come Cata the brainbugs and such will be the size of a tractor, not a truck.

Re: Pet Size
Some pets really do need to be a little bigger. Some of the spiders are just way too tiny, crabs could be a little bigger, and scorpids could use a little growth.
I actually race changed from female Tauren to female Orc because I hated being the same size as my devilsaur.

Re: Pet Size
Exactly. Just because some pets are "too big" (which I consider debatable, but nevermind), doesn't mean none of the pets should be looked at for a growth increase of some kind, even just a 10-20% increase.Tulune wrote:Some pets really do need to be a little bigger.
