Weapon trainers are in every major city. Thunder Bluff is the closest one to you right now. If they don't have training for what you want, the weapon master can direct you to the city that has what you're looking for. :)

Jack of all trades, master of none.
(Yeah right).

Shamans play like a melee DPS, Caster DPS, or Healer. Caster DPS while leveling is said to be fragile, healing while leveling is said to be tedious, and melee DPS while leveling is said to be the best.

Endgame, they can perform any of these three rolls with ease.

A very unique class (since totem buffs) to play. Best way to see how it is is to try it out though, don't take my word for it.

Honestly, your best bet is to just try out a few classes to get the feel for them. :) Most people don't settle on one class as soon as they start playing, they experiment a bit and see what fits them best.

I'd recommend getting to at least level 10 for a good 'preview' of the class, though 20 would be even better. You'll find something you enjoy, so just pick a few and go with them. ^^

And some classes are slower between 10-20. My hunters have little trouble getting to 20, and a pally was fairly easy too (at least until I lost interest in him). Even my warlock is chugging through the teens, but my mage...ugh. Just reaching 10 was painful. Many times I've considered restarting with a hunter, but I really wanna see how a mage does past 20.

Point is, when you're having fun, the time really does fly, but sometimes you might need to be patient if you're truly interested in the class.
