*nod* I think that's what's happening. I've had this occur when I stable my active pet at my side. To fix it I just toss all the pets back in the stable, then pull them back to my Call Pet slots but make sure the original one that glitched isn't in the first slot, and call a different one to my side. That fixes it for me (if that made sense).amrasillias wrote:Had the same problem last night, I believe it happens when you put the pet you have beside you in the stable master slot before dismissing him and placing another pet from the stable master slot into that active slot i.e. swapping them while being active.Bubu wrote:It a 50/50 bug.
Then you get pet from or send him to stable - moving, exchanging your pets around etc - you may not be able to call ANY pets.
"You do not have pet to summon"
The only way to fix it - relogg.
In that way I had no pet standing next to me and i was not able to call that pet or another pet. I had to use dismiss first and then call it again. Otherwise I would see that red message.

Big-head silithids and monkeys are unable to learn mobility because it requires Dive which is not a talent you can pick up for them. I tried deleting the cache and no such luck. Also the monkey has no attack animation. He does the damage but the animation you see is the little bugger just hanging out there and scratching his bum.
edit: I just took the monkey to a target dummy so I could look more closely at the attacks. He does actually have an attack animation, it just doesn't happen much and he spends and awful lot of time between strikes in his idle animation. I hope blizz makes the monkey a little more convincing and fixes the silly "Dive" problem.

My Jormungar is still very much able to be killed, but I noticed that it does, indeed, occasionally seem to have a jump in regained health that neither Mend Pet nor his Silverback spec can account for, unless there's a huge buff to pet heals I'm not aware of. Like a reverse of the half-health-on-porting issue.
Let me give Runty a good home.

Like a loud thud every now and then. But not with the Brain Bug with the smashed skull from 1k needles.

No, I said I agree with your comment on how Blizz taking away tanking abilities from Tenacity is sucky. Sorry if it wasn't clear. I was saying I agree with you, however I'm glad Burrow Attack was fixed because otherwise it would be the "wolf" of the Tenacity tree. I agree that we had more choice of tanking pets before the overhaul, but the Worm's Burrow Attack pre-4.0.3a was ridiculously OP compared to all other Tenacity pets. And, while shell shield and harden shell are hands-down better at reducing damage, I can still reason not getting either and staying with my Warp Stalker because it has a ranged pull that slows the enemy, allowing me to unload into them without waiting.TygerDarkstorm wrote:If they left all the tenacity abilities as they were, then there would be a wide variety of tank pets. Crocs were amazing for AoE tanking and bears were good as well. I'd be fine if they nerfed the damage on burrow if it wouldn't wipe aggro. It's rather annoying to have to stand on my pet just for the attack to go off and do damage.Snowwfire wrote:
While I agree with you on the "Blizz taking away tanking abilities from tenacity pets" comment; you do realize that if worms weren't fixed they would just be the "wolves" of the tenacity tree right? At least now we have a choice. Technically turtles are kinda "wolfing" the tree now but not enough to make me get one. Not having any more wolfing of trees is only a good thing.
My point was that we no longer have a pet that can keep decent AoE threat. Not all of us have/use the glyph of MD and from my past experiences, turtles aren't so good in the AoE department and I'm not fond of the new bear ability. Your statement comes off as kind of contradicting as well. You say you agree with Blizz taking away tenacity's tanking capabilities, then you say we have choice now. The only choice we have now for true tank pets is either a beetle or turtle; and they both do the same ability. There was much more choice before the pet overhaul.
But yes, I miss Warp

Re: Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
On the one hand yes, the decision to give worms aoe dmg did indeed make them "tenacity wolves", so to that extent I agree with you 200% - on the other hand I don't consider what they did to burrow a "fix"; making it drop aggro is just silly - no tenacity pet should ever have a move that reduces aggro.Snowwfire wrote:you do realize that if worms weren't fixed they would just be the "wolves" of the tenacity tree right?
What they should do is recognize that giving just worms and chimera a direct dmg attack was a very bad idea, and change this and the chimera aoe to a debuff.
Agreed in principle, as above - just so long as they aren't fixing their mistakes by replacing OP moves with glitches...Snowwfire wrote:Not having any more wolfing of trees is only a good thing.

worm burrow
since the mobs evade/reset, i think its more of a LoS issue. like the sand worms in hellfire pennisula or the new ones in Tanaris. i believe tamable worms have a script or something that cancels this LoS issue, but some piece of programming in The Shattering somehow ignores this command.

One more bug...
In ICC or other raids (runs), even if your pet on passive mode, it WILL attack right at start of fight.
Also, if you put your pet on specific position, on passive mode, and then will attack target and kill it (without pet), pet will run back to you.
Never had such a problems before:O(

Seems I'm having the same trouble others are with cunning pets and the Dash/Dive/Mobility problem. Some of my cunning critters show Mobility in the talent tree but it can't be assigned points because it's connected to Dash and not Dive. So what's the verdict? Is this a bug or a normal variance in cunning pets?

Re: Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
I'm having some issues with my non-Jormongar worms, they don't have the burrow animation, but Burrow Attack still works. it annoys me, as I can't find a jormongar i LIKE much, but the burrow animation was freakin' awsome (Imo, lol). just wonderin', anyone else having this problem?
Re: Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
My worm(orange model) doesn't have the animation either. *sad*

Re: Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
I'm having the same issue that bgrffdave is with the bugged Cunning talent trees. Also, I've ended up abandoning a couple of pets over the Druid flight form model's movement bug (when birds using this model forget how to fly forward and instead just use the hovering idle animation whenever you move). The latter also holds true for Wrath-era carrion birds.
Regarding the burrow animation with worms, I think it's like "Trick" in that it only applies to newer models. Before the Shattering I had an old-world style worm, and when it used Burrow it didn't go underground. However, my new Jormungar does dive underground.
One more thing that's annoying from a soloing perspective is that you can't use the "Move To" command if your pet is in combat. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but it's a little inconvenient; whenever I'm soloing something and need my pet tank to move, I have to spam "follow" and try to haphazardly direct it to the right spot. A good example of this is Terokk, the final boss in the repeatable quest in Skettis for Sha'tari Skyguard rep. At the end of the fight he becomes immune and you have to direct him into a blue flame that drops from a friendly NPC to start doing damage again. Being able to use "Move To" in combat would certainly make things go by a little faster.

Move To works in combat. The trouble is that if your pet is on Defensive or Aggressive and something hits it, fighting back takes priority, same as if you click "follow me" and something punches/sets Fluffy on fire. If you need to convince Fluffy to move to somewhere and things won't stop hitting it, set your pet to Passive and THEN use Move To.pengupuff wrote:One more thing that's annoying from a soloing perspective is that you can't use the "Move To" command if your pet is in combat.
