I have to check that out when the servers are up again. I would love to have my seagull still fly. And I will check Nuramoc too.
They say Meins! Which is spelled like minez

In French, they say 'A Moi/Amoi'
In Spanish, they say 'Mio'
In German, they say 'Mines'
In Russian, they say 'Dai'
In Swedish, they say 'Min'
Weirdest research I ever did: what the seagulls in Finding Nemo said in as many dubs as I could locate.

Re: Seagulls can fly!
Well, remember that the seagulls aren't saying just 'Mine!' like they are in English. For instance, Dai translates more as 'Give'! So it's more like they're squawking 'Gimme gimme gimme!' in Russian. It's the *concept* rather than the *literal word* that's being translated in most of the dubs.Cyone wrote:Your German ist correct.TygerDarkstorm wrote: I took two years of german in high school and I learned that mine was either "mein" (masculine) or "meine" (feminine). So like Cyone said, your German's good. They just slightly changed up the word.

EDITED TO ADD: I just gave Dai a check. My delightful flying seagull is now pathing along the ground the same as every other 'normal' pet.

Re: Seagulls can fly!
On the lurker comment, I just want to point it is highly doubtful that this is the only source for the info. I'm sure people reported it as a bug and talked about it on other forums and blogs they pay attention to.
Besides most of us knew it was only a matter of time until it was fixed!
Though it seems that the fix didn't stick to some of them from reports people are giving.

Re: Seagulls can fly!
Yeah that was a little alot offbase; just because the guy hasn't posted to say "Here I am, and I just fixed/added XYZ for you - enjoy!!", doesn't mean he hasn't been doing stuff for us... so many weeks I come here to find whole reams of wishlist pets suddenly tamable - all stuff posters here had been specifically asking for. Coincidence? Not bloody likely.Kalliope wrote:You mean like all the new pet looks that've been added and god knows what else behind the scenes?Cialbi wrote:If only the lurker were to do something we would appreciate.Slapperfish wrote:I guess our lurker is still lurking about? :/![]()
Bit ungrateful, IMO!
I directly attribute the EPL red scarab's tamability to Mr Lurker, something near and dear to me and which I had specifically asked for.
More gratitude pl0x.

As of 12/1 the fledgling colossus is still unmoving and otherwise borked, same as before.Minifig wrote:Might want to see if your seagull still flies:
November 30th hot fixes:
Hunters
* Trueshot Aura now functions correctly for level 39 hunters.
* Hunter pets that were immortal can now be killed, flying pets no longer fly, and pets that were immobile after being tamed properly move.
* Beetle and turtle pet armor is now consistent with other Tenacity pet armor.
* Qiraji Scarabs from the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj are no longer able to be affected by the Mutate Bug buff after being tamed.

Yep it sadly happens :O(Kurasu wrote:Cyone wrote:TygerDarkstorm wrote: EDITED TO ADD: I just gave Dai a check. My delightful flying seagull is now pathing along the ground the same as every other 'normal' pet.
My beloved Hábrök (Diseased Hawk) "flying" near the ground as any other pets...
That's really unfair

It was so good to have a pet that actually followed you sensibly as you jumped down places.

Re: Seagulls can fly!
It stands to reason that if the flying pets could do this, the ground pets should be able to learn how as well, even if they're temporarily turned into flying pets or something to make it down hills.Anyia wrote:It was so good to have a pet that actually followed you sensibly as you jumped down places.

Re: Seagulls can fly!
True. However, I've noticed that pets will jump into the center 'arena' in Sunken Temple right alongside me. I'm hoping that the devs can figure out a solution from this, but not holding my breath (more important things need fixing first).Kalliope wrote:It stands to reason that if the flying pets could do this, the ground pets should be able to learn how as well, even if they're temporarily turned into flying pets or something to make it down hills.Anyia wrote:It was so good to have a pet that actually followed you sensibly as you jumped down places.

Re: Seagulls can fly!
If they make Hunter pets able to "jump" and not go around, I hope they add that to other pets as well. A lot of Hunters are paranoid as hell about aggroing mobs from jumps (like in Nexus) while DKs, Mages and Warlocks forget there pets almost every time they jump.

My birds can't fly anymore but for some reason they can reach some places where I can't even stand...

Bubu, I think I've seen this before. Pets and NPCs have an uncanny ability to walk up and down extremely steep slopes. Useful for your pet to be able to drag an NPC away from an area where you can't reach them, so that you can actually loot.
However, I didn't know that they would do this with the new Move To feature
