Pets you would like to see added in Cataclysm!

I thought I would put a new thread in here and see what new pets you would like to see added for the expansion. Also we can discuss changes we would like to see to current pets. Do you guys wanna see new skins for existing pets. or maybe a whole new pet or possibly a whole new class of pets. Mybe being able to tame one of your Worgen Player friends lmao j/k. Anyways have fun with this Im eager to see what you all think.

All I can say is I cant wait for the expansion to see what it brings. And I hope it Rocks

I think it's high time we should be allowed to tame Dragons..
We have them as mini pets, why not as big combat pets?

Shark? It maybe summonble under water only. But it will give a buff like breath under water and/or increase swimming speed etc.

More than anything I want some new skins for the "ridingtiger" cat model. The current three (lavender, teal and spotted) don't appeal to me at all. I want either some solid, more natural colors (like black, gray, white, brown, etc.) or actual tiger colors such as white and orange! That's probably the only way I'll ever tame a cat.

I'd also like for basilisks to be tameable, they already have an eligible family skill (crystal gaze) and plenty of skins to choose from. They could fit nicely as tenacity but possibly as cunning as well.

And lastly, I think it would be really cool to be able to tame gryphons, hippogryphs, and wyverns. Even if Blizz decides they'd rather keep those mount- and flight point-only, I think they could do tameable sub-species of those animals (kind of like the Draenei and Broken...except they aren't animals but you get the point). If proto-drakes are supposedly basically devolved or ancestral dragons (I forget their story, sorry!), I think they could do the same thing with the others and make some more feral or wild versions that emerge as a result of The Cataclysm. Or maybe not that they just appear out of nowhere, but that the Cataclysm changed their bodies or altered them while the ones in captivity, in the relative safety of the cities, remain unchanged.

I could see proto-drakes being an Exotic pet, really. They're like horses in intelligence from what I've seen in how they're used in the game so it wouldn't be too far fetched to assume you could conquer their beastial wrath with the sleight of the hunter hand.

I would enjoy seeing Zhevras, Kodos, and Talbuks tamable..maybe Wyverns too

I want the Silithid Wasps to become tamable! And not as Exotics.

But what I want more than new pets is the ability to tame a mount. This is my single longest-standing Hunter want. I don't care if it doesn't get any barding on it, I just want to go tame the mount I want. I'd be cool with tamed mounts not counting towards the collecting mounts achievements too.
I want a Clefthoof mount dang it.

As incredibly cool as this sounds, that would just make hunters the most ridiculously over-played class in WoW. If they're going to do something like that, they'd have to make it available to every class/race/etc.. Otherwise EVERYONE would be crying about it or switching to hunters. Perhaps a better way to approach something like that would be to make it a quest line/rep grind similar to the Wintersaber Trainers and the Venomhide things (haven't been a high-enough level Horde to know what it's called), and just have one of those for every beast type out there. Clefthoof and talbuk trainers in Nagrand, Wooly Rhino trainers in Borean Tundra, etc. Or rather than one per beast type, just a general Nesingwary Trainers faction? Or perhaps D.E.H.T.A., since Nesingwary just wants to kill everything. There are a lot of ways they could approach it, so hopefully it's something we'll see someday.

level 20 Riding Raptor models with the saddles (I love the fins they have)
Spirit Beast with the look of a green Hippogryph, but with the skeleton of a cat
Basilisks
Kodos
Tamable Zul'Aman bosses (Oh the hilarity)
Proto-Drake (They are just highly feral dragons. They are as intelligent as raptors at best)

Giraffes... special attack could be a damage based attack at 2X normal distance. Or a head whip that stuns the target.

The blue dogs that resemble the zul dogs. I forget what dungeon they are from.

Honestly, I think any npc beast would be fun to tame... Imagine having a cow as a tank. Special attack could be the Tip. It falls over on someone doing 2X max damage. Has to lay there until cool down ends. rofl

I'd be interested in some new looks for existing families, perhaps more color choices. I feel that raptors, warpstalkers, and turtles could all use some extra love (patterns even, not just a single solid color.)

I'd also like a new (additional,not replacement) model for some families. I'd enjoy a new tallstrider model who's little wings were not clawed at the tips, and the tail is larger and showier with display colors.

More than that, however, I'd like to see some fresh families, like we did in BC! Come on blizzard, invent something new and fun! And make sure the new families have some idle animations.. they give the pet extra personality!

Actually I was thinking the other day of how cool a giant rat pet would be.

Not just the critter rat model we have now either, but a fully remade creature. There are giant rats in a lot of stories and mythology, and I really like them in real life so having a fierce, large rodent would be pretty awesome.

ALSO, I want more pet skins to have armor plating on them, like those boars do in RFK... or RFD... whichever it is...
