Spirit Beast Emotes

Don't change them. I love when my spirit beast nuzzles me! The crab is just...confused and that's ok.

While the emotes are nice as they are now, somehow I always felt that the Spirit Beasts are more than ordinary beasts and somehow I imagine them more like proud guardians than cuddly cats and huggy bears ^^

I would love to see more astral, etheral, mystical emotes for them, after all they aren't plain beasts :)

(oh and I guess too is that we will get more different types of spirit beasts in the future.)

i feel that it would be nice to have spirit beasts in a none-mammal/more otherworldly tone for the PetEmote addon. no ones saying that they still cant be cute, but SBs "are the embodied spirits of the natural world" and as such take on many different forms. the addition of a crab SB can only mean that other animal types will be used in the future as well besides the mammal type. i love the addon as is but i would like to see the SB emotes treated a little differently, as i feel its a special case all on its own.

I'm with Veph on this one: it should be a fun challenge and honestly, there probably will be more spirit beasts who aren't mammals appearing.

Part of the "fixes" for mashing the cats/dogs/bears together involved shifting the focus of the emotes to the ethereal spirit qualities of the beasties. We'll just have to keep working in this vein. :) At least we know that they can all dim themselves (since they all have spirit walk) and they all can heal. Amusingly, the family basic attack is "claw," which just makes me giggle when it comes to Ghostcrawler...

There are plenty of interesting qualities we can focus on with this. Though I will miss the more cuddly side of my spirit beasts, I think it's a change whose time has come and it will be an interesting challenge. I'm going to go ahead and start working on this. I can't say it will be ready with the other stuff I promised for this coming weekend, but it might be partially there. I think looking at this from my troll's point of view will help (and she's the SB collector...come on Gondria, you're the last one!). To her, the spirit beasts are spirits, not beasts, that come to her when she needs their help. Ashe is named Ashe for a reason. ;) Well, this should be interesting.
