An established warlock and alchemist who is obsessed with the color purple, Valnara's other love in life is herself.
Valnara was born in Gilneas to two master demonologists. As she grew, she gained her parents' affiliation for the dark arts. They gladly taught her what they knew, passing on their knowledge and occasionally having to stop their daughter from trying to dye her demons varying shades of purple. Once they felt that Valnara had learnt all she could from them, they sent her out into the 'real world.'
Still unsure of herself and what she wanted, Valnara opted to join the Gilneas front in trying to fend off the worgen invasion. She found the monsters interesting and she wanted to know if there was a way to harness their power. In an ironic twist of fate, Valnara was turned into a worgen. Luckily, she was soon captured by her fellow Gilneans after wreaking havoc, and she was given the chance to regain her mind and humanity.
Excited by this new prospect, Valnara embraced her new found body. She continued to help the Gilneans, this time against the new threat of the Forsaken. She actually tried capturing one of the Forsaken to turn it into a purple puppet, under the impression that the undead was a mindless being. This didn't work out so well and she nearly lost her life; thankfully for her her felguard and a well-timed spell managed to save her life.
Valnara was glad to leave these experiences behind, saying goodbye to Gilneas after they could no longer hold off the undead, and escaping with the others on the boat to Darnassus. While she loved that the night elves were purple (often referring to them as the "purple people"), she wasn't overly fond of their ways. She discovered from the locals that there was a ship to Stormwind, the human capital. Pleased with this, she assumed her human form so as to blend in at first, dismissed her felguard, and boarded the ship to Stormwind.
Upon arriving at the human capital, Valnara was immediately amazed and overwhelmed. She explored the huge city, falling in love with it and dubbing it her new home.
