The one of the guys who made Adventure time did this animation about pikachu and ash. It's pretty cool. It feels more like a animatic than a animation but it's still neat

I can help you with your "More than 6 pokemon" one.

I think Pikachu might be a special case since it has no pokeball...maybe letting Ash carry an extra.

Pikachu has a pokeball. It just is never in it due to hating being inside one. Pikachu's ball has a nifty little light bolt on it.

The Sixth derp moment... Somewhere along the line of the fifth gen it somehow became ok for a trainer to have more then 6 pokemon with him at a time(the other pokeballs were just inactive). I swear the guy has 8 pokemon on him right now (episode 40 of unova).

What about that charmander episode in season 1, that Damien prick was all - "I'll crush you with every pogeymon i've got!" - in which he was holding well over 30 pokeballs in the air.

I think the biggest "derp moment" of all was that double battle with those psychic gym leader twins, in which the pikachu hops on the swellow's back and turns him into a flying, electric, super-sayian ball of retardness. There's no debating.. That bird would be DEAD. xD
