New server?

Unfortunately. =( I'm sadly not going to even be on WoW that much longer as six-seven years is more then enough for me. I'd offer you my guild, but the current GM, his wife, a few officers (including myself) and maybe a couple others are thinking about jumping to GW2 when it comes out. Bloodsworn Vanguard isn't much of RP guild. We still do every now and again, but we're mostly PvE and recently, a good chunk of us are into PvP. I don't know if it'll be very active if a few of us leave. D:

I've been on Laughing Skull for a few days.

The random people I've met there have been 100% more friendly than the people I've met on my old server for the past few weeks.

...I think it's just time to move on. I decided to live stream some of the stuff I was seeing and only ended up getting ridiculed because I was still clicking part of my rotation and because the one battleground I got into we ended up getting GY camped.

I'll be going to Moon Guard.

What you described sounds remarkably not unlike what I went through on Shadowsong, back in 2005-2006. I took a free xfer to a different server, ended up returning under a diffrent name (family were all back on Shadowsong,) and then we all moved to an oceanic server. Things were much more pleasant after that final move.

If you have friendly faces welcoming you over on Moon Guard, then i'd say that's worth a try.. It seems like a friendly enough server imo. But I also wanted to point out that Moon Guard is, the most spat-upon server in the entire emberstorm battlegroup, possibly even the most targeted of all the US servers - 7 Years and i've never seen a server with such a bad reputation. I've never played there myself, but you might experience more of the same from players on other servers; I can't really say for sure...

If you move there and start doing random pugs, or BGs, it's entirely probable that you'll be targetted for rebuke, solely because your name has - Moon Guard attached to the end. I've lost count of how many people i've seen 'insulting' others (on non-Moon Guard servers) by saying "Go back to Moon Guard."

The only stereotype that the server is living up to at the moment is that "Roleplayers are bad raiders". Had that back on Wyrmrest too though.

It's a bit crazy over here but not in a bad way. The lack of serious anything makes it refreshing.

I've never actually run into anyone saying such things about Moon Guard and I've got a lot of alts and done many dungeons.

I've seen a craptton of people from WrA get shiz for being on that server though so I think WrA has now got the worst rep. MG is up there but it's lessening now as people are becoming somewhat educated. MG isn't as bad as people think. Just avoid Elwynn, ignore Trade and you're fine.

From what I've seen, epic RP attracts epic griefers. Epic RPers leave and go back to their original server. Griefers follow. RPers move again. Rinse and repeat.

By griefers I mean all the jerks, elitists and overall scumbags you'll find on the best of the best RP servers.

I'm so glad I became disenchanted with in-game RP- I don't have to deal with the heartache anymore. <3 me my forum RPs.

Rofl. I've had people compliment me for being on Moon Guard. It's amusing...while MG may not be the best raiders, almost everytime I end up in a pug from someone else in MG, they're usually competent and really nice. We have a blast! XD

It's always great getting a random dungeon where people insult you for being on an RP server, but then you blow all of them out of the water being the top dps. Even better if they start to praise you and give you guild offers. I get that a lot and it's hilarious.

That's true, but it's to the extent where i'll queue for a random as a tank, we all zone in... Then the healer will whisper me: "Oh no, Moon Guard!" - I'll look on the list and one of the dps will be from Moon Guard, then i'll piss myself laughing - we haven't even assessed the guy's dps (or competence) yet, but people are already silently freaking.

I've grouped with a few good people from there before, though.. and I haven't played in a while so things might be looking better, can't really say for sure.

It's always great getting a random dungeon where people insult you for being on an RP server.

I think RP servers get bashed far more in Battlegrounds, plus there's no damage meters in there, and to trying to top damage/healing/Killing Blows on the score list for bragging rights is the tell-tale sign of a bad player. It's something of a catch-22.

I play on WRA-alliance side and haven't had much trouble RPing...asides from that one incident where I almost started a tavern brawl...3 time... >.> I tried making a toon on MG...but ran into far to many erp'ers in random places. decided to sticl to WRA for RPing.

I haven't tried playing on horde side, I just cant get into the horde side on any toons...

Alliance side I am in an awsome guild <Incite> that focuses on guild helping guildies (and keeping it pg-13). Can't advance in guild without helping others, and the guild events are fun, anyone can creat any event for the guild. its not really a raiding/BG/RP guild, though there are some people that are trying to form some core groups.

However, if you ever want to make an alt somewhere completely different, come over to Alterac Mountains. We're not an RP server by any means - we're pvp, but my own, small guild <Idealistic History> does a limited amount of RP, and since we're all pretty much family there, there's no meanness. We're a casual guild built around leveling, helping guildies, and enjoying raiding older content (we've been doing a lot of Molten Core and BWL lately).
