TLPDResource had mentioned Skoll and said the one by the cave is the same at the one by the rock...like Skoll walks over there but I've always seen him just hide in the trees.

Some factors seem to lend credence to the theory of a second spawn point. Arcturis was the only Northrend tameable rare to have just a single spawn area, it's odd for him to be the only one. His timer has always seemed incredibly long and random, with some people claiming they've had to wait days until he spawned. Could he have been up at this second point during those long camps and no one knew?
And yet, as others said...how could it go unproven for so long if a second spawn point really did exist? Especially in our community here. With the millions of people that play this game, it's strange that there have been no videos or screenshots of this location. Even if you weren't actively looking for him, as long as you had NPCscan installed (which many people do, even if they aren't hunters), it seems at some point someone would just happen to fly over him there and be alerted.
Semi-related, I've also always been puzzled by the extra Skoll locations shown on the NPC scan overlay, I've never seen or heard of him appearing at those random extra ones.
The way I understand SilverDragon works is that it will cache a mob that you see and then wait to alert you until you enter the appropriate zone. For example, if you had seen another hunter with Krush wandering around in the peaks with you, and then had flown over to Sholazar, SilverDragon would have alerted you ' Hey, Krush is up! ' even though he's really not. It's likely just a bug with SD, but it's happened a few times to my friends, the strangest incident being where one had Broken Tooth cached and the scanner went off the moment they entered the Badlands.... hovering over the mountainous border area, where nothing that low level could possibly spawn ( because how could other low levels get to it? D: ).Davarra wrote:Something to consider....Northrend rares have to be in a certain range to cause SilverDragon to hit.
When I was camping Skoll on my Drae hunter, I meandered a bit off course just flying around for herbs between checking spawns and got a hit ducking into Grizz roughly between Thor Modan and Ursoc's. I've confirmed repeatedly it won't hit for me if Arc spawns in the more well known spot, at the range and loc I was at.
Also, to note......soon as that fired off, I hauled arse for the expected spot and saw nothing, spent a good 10 min flying around in case I was just somehow missing him, and asked in zone multiple times. There was no response and no sign he was or had been there.
I'm gonna say I believe the spawn by G'maw is legit based on that...
I hate to burst the bubble but that was just your cache. It will go off like that and say something is up when really its not. That's the downside of SilverDragon. I've had Gondria go off in Storm Peaks but that doesn't mean she spawns there.Davarra wrote:Something to consider....Northrend rares have to be in a certain range to cause SilverDragon to hit.

Hmm... Perhaps Arcturis was "intended" to have 2 spawn points, but somehow his second spawn point is incredibly bugged, and therefore preventing him to spawn there for some reason.
Say:
1st spawn (by Amberlodge) at 12:00
2nd spawn (by other place) at 19:30 but since its bugged, nothing actually spawns
2nd spawn (by other place) at 03:30 but since its bugged, nothing actually spawns
1st spawn (by Amberlodge) at 11:00 (hence why someone who started camping after the first spawn would perhaps say a 24 hour timer...
Just a random theory
