No, I flew over it and wondered. But I can confirm that the silkwing caterpillars in BEM (which use the maggot model) aren't.

I'm guessing worm. Generally if it's close enough to fit into an existing family, that's where it seems to go at least based on what I've seen so far... and even when new families are added, it can still be a "in name only" family a la beetles, probably to keep our class from being more complex than it needs to be.

But honestly I don't really care - if they make jormungar tunnelers boars I'd still tame one.

Unfortunately Porcupines and Silkworms are unintentional mistakes (see Wain's thread about it, labelled appropriately for people to find right away) and with it being unintentional, i can def see these being 100% non tameable. Poor giant chubby grubs i dont have any copied over chars in beta so i wont get to see em in-game as a pet

I wouldn't say 100%, Hell, I wouldn't even say anything more than 50%. Wain made it very clear that current pet additions are up in the air, and with the love these pets have gotten, I'd be surprised if they weren't at least strongly considered.

It really depends. Lots of people loved the polar bear cubs, but due to their model never being meant to be pet-size they won't be tamable.
