I hope your boarpillar doesn't start breathing fire. That might get awkward.

The two kinds that are right outside the chapel are not tameable.Bulletdance wrote:Has anyone in beta gone to the plaguelands to see if the maggots are tameable?
No, I flew over it and wondered. But I can confirm that the silkwing caterpillars in BEM (which use the maggot model) aren't.Bulletdance wrote:Has anyone in beta gone to the plaguelands to see if the maggots are tameable?
I'm guessing worm. Generally if it's close enough to fit into an existing family, that's where it seems to go at least based on what I've seen so far... and even when new families are added, it can still be a "in name only" family a la beetles, probably to keep our class from being more complex than it needs to be.Ellaran wrote:I wonder if they'll put the silk worms and maggots in the Worm family if they do stay tamable, or if they'll make a separate family.
Larvae family, perhaps?
Please let this make it onto live.

I'd love to have one on my hunter once she exists.

I wouldn't say 100%, Hell, I wouldn't even say anything more than 50%. Wain made it very clear that current pet additions are up in the air, and with the love these pets have gotten, I'd be surprised if they weren't at least strongly considered.Xakaal wrote:Unfortunately Porcupines and Silkworms are unintentional mistakes (see Wain's thread about it, labelled appropriately for people to find right away) and with it being unintentional, i can def see these being 100% non tameable. Poor giant chubby grubsi dont have any copied over chars in beta so i wont get to see em in-game as a pet
