Re: Any news on more stable slots?
The only odd thing is that in beta the first 5 stable slots at a stable master are locked for some reason that is unknown, I'm not sure what that might mean if anything.

Re: Any news on more stable slots?
I agree on that. I can see why some poeple would want more but I don't think we really need more.Vephriel wrote:There's been nothing about new stable slots so far. I'm personally leaning towards not getting any more, we have a lot as it is. I know it's not enough for many people, but in the grand scheme of things...I dunno, I feel like after having 3 and then 5 stables to suddenly 25 is just so much I can't see them needing to expand them continuously after that.

Re: Any news on more stable slots?
Part of me loves having the 25 slots that we do now, but another part of me almost wishes we only had 10 or 15. I find the real bonding occurs when you're forced to stop and think about which pets are important enough to keep rather than being able to tame everything without a thought or repercussion. I dunno, it'll be different with everyone of course, those are just my thoughts on the matter.

Obviously, I know not everyone is like that. I guess I was just saying that sometimes I feel the same way, but then I realize that I really do have enough now with 25.

I definitely hear you there, an even number would sit so much better with me too. xD 30 sounds nice, and I wouldn't mind it, but I also dislike the aspect of a growing stable.TheDoomcookie wrote:I'd be fine with 30... 30 would be nice. <.< Even numbers... I need them. D:

Re: Any news on more stable slots?
I can see both sides, for sure. On one hand, like I mentioned above, I often feel like I could use a few more. But then at the same time, for me personally, I think having too many slots would take away some of the feeling of attachment. If I had a ton of slots, I'd have animals sitting in them collecting dust. In that case, what's the point of having all those slots?Vephriel wrote:I definitely hear you there, an even number would sit so much better with me too. xD 30 sounds nice, and I wouldn't mind it, but I also dislike the aspect of a growing stable.TheDoomcookie wrote:I'd be fine with 30... 30 would be nice. <.< Even numbers... I suppose I wouldn't be opposed to them adding five more, but no more than that. And I'd like to keep it at 30 for a while. Just my opinion!

Re: Any news on more stable slots?
One thing that annoys me though is how some people look down on the "pet collectors" or the "pokemon players" and act like they all hardcore and superior because their pets are nothing more than buff bots. I have Heroic Dragon Soul on farm. I'm interested in raiding and doing end game content but I still love my pets and the flavor they bring to the class. Hell, I even have a pet blog, lol. Clearly, I'm preaching to the choir on this forum but it's a pretty rampant attitude on the battle.net forums. It's like, get over yourself already, different people like different aspects of a very big very diverse game. It's nothing to look down on anyone else for.

Yep, you and me both. And the third slot had to be left empty to tame trash pets so you could teach skills to your other two pets! Ah, those were the good ol' days.Ziarre wrote:The amount we have is an embarassment of riches as it is, for me. I remember three stable slots! *shakes cane*

Re: Any news on more stable slots?
Now with everything being handed to us...things are just so generic...that awsome bonding and real feel of learning what it ment to be a (enter class name here) was one of the best parts of the game for me.
As for more stable slots, I think we have enough as it is. I have a hard enough time rotating my pets because I've formed such a stong bond with certain ones. I have some pets I like because of thier uniqueness, like my oil hawk, ghost wolf with sword or beetle with the black line. I dont use then, but I like having them. Its going to be even harder when choosing pet specs goes live!

Re: Any news on more stable slots?

It's one of those things where, if I know we're getting another 5 stable slots next expansion, I don't want to let the spirit beasts go because of what they are-- rare, unique finds, that I spent many hours seeking/hunting/camping. That being said, maybe I should let them go in favor of having some other pets that would get used. I do miss my Ashtail.
