I think it's a very fitting monk ability, and I don't see the need for hunters to cause an outrage over it if that's the case. The monk is calling on a Pandarian god. I know the model's appealing, but just because it's a beast doesn't mean it has to be for us and no one else. There are many classes that have unique summoned creatures that other classes don't get. We get a lot of love as it is, other classes should get something special once in a while too. ;)
Yeah, I was going to say something but Veph put it in a nice tight package for me!

First and foremost Blizzard is trying to give every class a bit of something. I don't think they will be going "Oh I wonder how hunters will react to this" as the first thing they do.

If we don't get a spirit beast out of this then I feel like it's a missed chance to make another nice non-transparent SB but that's that and at least we can get it on a monk. There was never any promise that we, as players, would have any access to it at all besides maybe staring at the model while it sits somewhere. :)

Yeah, thinking about it, I'm more in the camp of wanting a non-transparent spirit beast, and actually, what I really want is more options in the other exotic families.

More rhinos please? more corehounds? we really don't need 40 Spirit beasts, I'd much rather have those rares scattered around the other families, especially with the new pet talent system.

That's never stopped hunters from wanting a pretty beast model, lol. xP And yes, I will rage if only Monks have access to this beauty, because fffffffffffffffffffffffIwantit.

If they come up with an exotic from a different family that I want as badly, good for them! But this is my Number One Want of this expansion, so I'll be watching any developments occurring with the placement of this model closely.

I think it's likely that we'll be able to tame it. *Shrugs* I hope we do.
Personally, I'm just going to be happy that they used the SOLID model. It's not transparent! That must be a good sign.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly think it's feasible that it could show up as a Spirit Beast, I just don't think we need to get upset if it turns out to be a Monk ability and nothing else. :) There will be other things in store for us I'm sure, and I think the ability to invoke god manifestations has a unique feel that I wouldn't disparage the Monks for having.

^This.
Honestly, even though my favorite spirit beast is transparent, I'd much rather see more solid spirit beasts. Enough ghostly things for now... please.

Most people won't need to be upset. I, however, will be. *big puppy eyes at lurking powers that be*

Lucky monks, IF its monk only then I dont think anyone has a right to rage. Hunters are geting lots of cool stuff already. It isnt like it seems its a perma-pet and even if it is its more fitting for monks imo. Its pretty yes but I think monks should have the ability to invoke all the major gods of pandara. Why? they're monks of course.

This being a monk-only model would be a nice perk for an ENTIRELY NEW CLASS.

There's no guarantee that we won't get to tame this model (or ever get to), but there are certainly a number of good justifications for not letting us do so.

While things can change quickly I wouldn't get too hopeful about taming this guy or any of the "god" models in the near future. It would be a wonderful spirit beast, even though we have so many cat SBs already, but at the moment I suspect this one won't be tameable at release. Perhaps not ever but I try to be optimistic :)

The more I think about it, the more I want a new rare rhino instead of another spirit beast...

Rhinos are one of those families that need a load more colours. Such a shame they didn't create any more skins though. You can put clefthoof skins on them but then they just look like distorted clefthooves.

I'm indifferent about that skin, since we have too many tamable cat skins anyway. I'm more interested in tamiing the spirit black yak though,
