Thank you, you two; this sums this up perfectly.Spiritbinder wrote:/Agreed in fullMindsprocket wrote:Honestly, I would hate it if Cheetah just became another travelform or a more complicated version of sprint (which is what the proposal in the OP basically is). Right now hunters are the only class that can move at high speed and still fight with full capacity and I like that a lot. To me that's basically the whole point of the ability. Would I prefer it if the dazed effect was removed without the need of a glyph? Yes, of course. But I still prefer the current form over the complete overhauls suggested in this thread.
During APTC we can travel at speed with FULL capabilities, amazing for kiting if you know what you doing. To make it a "travel" form would just make it just that, Travel form with no utility. Is the daze component a pain in the ass? sure when you get hit, but its the trade off of us having unique, interesting and at times a more challenging ability compared to others. The fact that now we can choose to glyph the daze away is a nice way of blizzard letting those who really HATE the daze component or struggle with toggling aspects have it easier.... at the cost of a glyph.
The daze acts as a balancing factor for our GROUP SPEED AURA that can be MAINTAINED INDEFINITELY, which no other class has. Being able to glyph away the daze is lovely for those of us who don't want to deal with it. Rest assured, I am not one of those super talented hunters who is able to pull off daring escapes with clever aspect swappage on anything resembling a regular basis - but I respect the rights of other players needing a way to catch up, since many can't match it, especially now that we can run off and camo.
Would it be absolutely awesome if we didn't have to glyph to remove the daze? Sure! But we'd likely lose some sort of utility or suffer a damage penalty if that were to happen.
