Not sure if this was discovered yet or not, but Echoweb Hatchlings are confirmed as tameable. The cave they're in is at 37,24, behind where the rare spawn Sulik'shor appears. The entrance is blocked unless you have the quest Old Man Thistle's Treasure with which you can click on the rocks to clear them, although they sometimes bug out and become untargetable. It is also possible to use the death trick to ghost through the rocks.

Note: The hatchlings have a debuff called Premature, which causes them to die after about 8 seconds of hatching.

Having snatched the ID macro posted over in the "New Non-Pandarian Tameables" thread, I can now also confirm that both IDs of Ashweb Hatchling (58568 and 67087) are also tameable. The ones with the ID 58568 spawn from the web piles found around the area. 67087 are the ones that run around in packs.

Fun fact: These spiders jump at you when attacking and, while I couldn't get a decent screenshot of it, can very much still do so while ice-trapped as long as they had been aggroed first!

Would be neat to have Tito!

and I agree. If it even resembles a humanoid, it's not worth looking into.
Tito's skin is now found on Ripp in Hellfire Peninsula... he's one of the two worgs kept by the houndmaster at Zeth'gor.

someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket

That just leaves one Pandaria thing to check:

Trained Jungle Lory, Unga Ingoo Scenario - there are 3 ids on Wowhead (62476, 62479 & 62480) and 3 colours (blue, crimson and green). I'm not sure if all IDs are present, and whether each colour is represented by a different ID. And of course whether they're not tameable, or already controlled or whatnot.

They're not far from the entrance. If you had two friends you could go in, kill the initial ambushers (easy) and then the guy with the lories is just around the corner. He has an awful lot of them!

Hey there!

Has anyone tried taming cloud serpents? Particulary the ones on Shen'ze Dao island (Shado-pan dailies) which are already "pets" of serpentbinders so it would make sense for us to be able to tame them as well. I'd love to have one of those with me and I can see them being in the Serpent family.

Because the Opera event is well.. event, im not sure taming would work, much how if the beast boss in the Ring of Law (which i read was mentioned earlier) could force it to bug if tamed. It sounds too much to me like if Tito was tameable, it'd mess the entire event up cause the game wouldnt recognize him as 'dead'.

With Ripp using the skin, im not sure if Blizz would take the extra steps to make a raid boss, 13-14 lvls higher the the current tameable skin, in an event scenario, tameable and code it so the game would register that the npc is no longer present and act as if it had died. Its just too much hassle for me to envision happening. Of course it'd be cute and all the power to Blizz if they feel like they want to work on it and make it happen, but they appear to be working on much, much bigger things ;3

Sound logic, except for one glaring detail: killing Tito isn't necessary to beat the encounter. He doesn't even spawn until late in the fight, and only if Dorothee is alive! Whether she would become enraged at the loss of her dog is another story...

I don't think it's a killing issue that's the problem for him; I think it's the enrage that Dorothee gets when he dies that is.

I'm pretty sure they'll never become tameable, I'm afraid(Never hurts to check but I wouldn't get your hopes up high). Serpentbinders aren't 'hunters'. They don't bond with their pets in the same way....they seem to just force them to do their bidding, hense the 'binder' bit. Kinda like how demons are bound to warlocks.

Plus they're closer to dragonkin than serpents, regardless of what their label may be since we've had dragons labeled as beasts before.

It is worth noting, though, that the rest of the cloud serpents have become beasts in 5.1. Maybe some have been missed, but all that I've seen have finally been converted.

It doesn't mean they'll ever become tameable, but they are definitely meant to be beasts.

Well I meant closer as in appearances and the lore behind the eastern dragons (plus I'd hazard to guess china might become pretty ruffled if we suddenly start taming serpents they deem god-like in their culture)

We already fly them into walls when we're flying drunk and make their hatchlings battle to the death in our minigame. Not to mention slaying the ones that fall to corruption, or in Alani's case, just for the mount. Not really sure what that dragon's alignment is.

Not saying dragon type-anything will ever be tameable, though.

Ah but our hatchlings don't die. :P It's like pokemon....they 'faint'. XD They're not dead. Japan did create Pokemon, remember?

There's legends of samurai defeating evil dragons, so slaying them isn't a big deal.

As for driving drunk well....XD I can't say I've ran into a wall....I've nose dived though.

Technically, Cloud Serpents are Blizzard's intellectual property that just "happens" to resemble an eastern dragon. (On purpose of course, but hey.) Technically Chinese have no say what Blizzard does with their intellectual property. :D

I've kind of thought these serpents to be akin to the netherwing of outland as in that they're the "token dragon" of this expansion and probably won't be tameable. Never say never though; we've been surprised before. /shrug

Tell that to the chinese and the fact they changed Chen Stormstout's eye color to gold(they used to be green!). :P They changed them cause not only does it represent fel magic in wow, in asian cultures, green eyes represent demonic energy or somethin around those lines. So not wanting to offend, Blizz fixed it so their prized Pandaren wouldn't get flack.
