Exotics: Yes!
Restrictions: No 'long spawn timer' tames. Outside of that, I'd like a challenging pet.
Thanks again!

Overall, the Porcupine has a fun gimmick ability and a helpful special ability, a useful size, a neat styling, and buckteeth! It also appears that their coats have a type of swirly pattern to them. As always, see the pictures and their descriptions below for some of the things we did together! He's a savage little dogfighter, and actually seems quite fierce during combat. He has a neat graphic for his unique skill, too. I named my Porcupine Sonic, because, well. You'll figure it out! ^__^

Re: Random Pet Challenge [v4.0]
As Sabra made her way to the Crossroads, she was presented with another message from a mysterious benefactor, this time requesting that she please make friends with a gray boar. Shrugging, Sabra made a visit to the local stable master to temporarily stable her raptor and tallstrider. Daisy had made it up here too and she made sure to say hello to the black boar before hopping on a wyvern flight to Orgrimmar.
After the wyvern landed, the troll made her way to the front of Orgrimmar, leaving the gates and looking around the red sands of Durotar to see where the local grey boars might be hiding. Finally, as she rounded a rock, one waddled its way around and Sabra set about encouraging it to be by her side.

He didn't put up too much of a struggle and soon enough was calm and playfully waggling his butt by her side.

Sabra studied her new friend, deciding to name him Suni (soo-nee). At first she hadn't expected to find a boar other than Daisy attractive as a pet, but Suni's grey fur with his pink nose and little freckles was really quite charming to her. He oozed charm and seemed to be a rambunctious little thing.

Suni barely held still for Sabra while she examined him, sniffing the ground and wiggling his butt in the air, but he also surprised the troll by swinging his muzzle from side to side and opening his maw in what could be interpreted as a threatening/protective gesture.

Sensing he was getting impatient, Sabra started running back towards the Barrens, opting to skip the wyvern flights to let Suni stretch his legs.

Already having a boar pet, Sabra already loved the way they ran, though Suni seemed to do it with more exuberance than Daisy.
As they hit the river, it gave Sabra a chance to watch him swim. She got worried and concerned for her new friend because even though he paddled his feet, the expression on his face making it seem as if he was scared and panicking. The troll put a hand firmly in his mane and helped swim him to the surface, crossing over into the Barrens and making sure the boar was okay before they moved on.

Once they reached the Crossroads, Sabra asked around if anyone had any tasks, getting a couple of offers to go extract a few parts from the local wildlife. Figuring this would be a good test of Suni's prowess, Sabra found one of the huntress' and fired a shot at the lioness. Suni charged at the lioness, intercepting its attack on Sabra, screaming bloody murder. He ended up being so ferocious in combat, swinging his mighty tusks about, that he even appeared to be scaring his opponent.

Surprised and impressed, Sabra found herself growing fond of this new boar friend of hers and realizing that she might have to make a hard decision between him and Daisy in the future. But for now, both of them could be her friends.
Edit: Decided I wanted a bit of a break from these and to just level and get to know Sabra.

But a while back, I had to find a blue wasp. At the time I thought I would try to find Mutilax, who never spawned.
I'm leveling my rogue and you will never guess who is up.
Figures.
Re: Random Pet Challenge [v4.0]
I went to Un'Goro Crater to find one since I was doing some archaeology.

The tame went easy as expected and I got a few shots to show that he doesn't shrink down over much. Beetles are fairly large pets.

I named the big guy "Click" since he clicks his mandibles and his little claw-feet click and tap as he runs around. I took him down to Uldum to get some better shots of his color in sunlight since Un'Goro gives everything a greenish cast.

He's an active pet when idling, but not overly diverse. He swings his head, wiggles his antennae and clicks his mouth-parts.

His fighting animations are pretty limited. He swings to bite and occasionally moved forward to dig his legs in.

I forgot to get one of his swimming though! Oops!
In the end, after a round of Golden Lotus dailies, I set Click free. Beetles aren't really my thing and personally I think the model looks a bit odd being so big. I prefer it smaller in the form of mini-combat pets.

Found Carcinak

Taming Carcinak

Summersfury and Spaz

I named him Spaz since when he runs to keep up with you, he looks like his legs are spazzing out to keep up. As a tank he works well since his pin will keep a mob from getting to you till he can get aggro. His dps is not bad, but his special attack is more of a tank-type ability. His idle animation is basically him turning his head left to right, and also his big claw left to right. His attack animation is him swinging his big claw.
Swimming: He feels like he uses his big claw as a paddle

I definitely plan on keeping him for now since we are no level 30.

Re: Random Pet Challenge [v4.0]
Regardless, I hopped on the zeppelin to STV - not with the intention to get one of the same-model Vale Howlers, but to head into the Deadmines to grab one of those guys instead. Surprisingly, the zep was waiting for me - which tends to never happen (it's usually just phasing out of sight when I get there) Mounted up and flew my way over to Westfall. Since my hunters generally play 'solo', and are usually horde-side, it took a couple of minutes to trundle my way down to the Deadmines entrance, but I found it quickly enough. After poking my way through the ogres and such, I get to the area with the mining monkeys. The first two I saw happened to be the right color, so I decided to release one from his chains (and helped him enact some revenge upon a nearby goblin), and tame the other.

I went with the same name my old one had, just cause I did like the name - it felt like it suited a monkey. After taming, this guy was pretty quiet at first. I figured he was just shy - getting used to being free of his ball and chain and all that. However, as we exited the Deadmines, a little bit of his true nature began to show when he sneakily tried to drop a banana peel at my feet. When I caught him in the act, he seemed to want to try and distract me by grabbing my hand and leading us forward.
We made our way back to Org, ported to the Jade Forest, and flew out to the Vale. There were Mogu and Quilen that needed clearing out, and Tumbles seemed rather keen to get started. In combat, he certainly liked to grab attention - often gathering more mobs than intended (he seemed to especially like the Quilen around the stormcallers). When he saw the size of some of the creatures out there, he had a tendency to run back towards me with mobs on his heels. Though I didn't have much of a chance to make use of his blind ability, he was relatively sturdy - nowhere near the bulkiness of Shu's beetle of course, but he somehow managed to 'tank' multiple mobs.
He seemed to be pretty lucky with loot - one of the mobs he pestered even dropped a Skyshard for us, and another an ancient guo-lai cache key

In battle, he was rather aggressive - yelling and screeching at any mobs who patrolled near us, but quickly retreating when they actually responded to his taunts.
Since there was an item in Kara that I wanted, I figured I'd take him into there to help out. Apparently, the generally dark, cramped passages reminded him a bit too much of the mines where he came from - he wound up wrapping himself around my head and refusing to move, letting out anxious shrieks to the nearby ghosts.

I figured it was unfair of me to make him continue, and ported out so he could rest up.
I'll admit, his animations do bug me - even if monkeys do actually walk like these guys, it always felt like he was trying to veer off to the side. His swimming animation wasn't too exciting either (though perhaps I've been spoiled by Ultraviolet's swimming in the past)
Overall, he's a pretty cute little guy - cheeky and loud, but sweet underneath. It was nice being able to hang out with him again, though I will most likely be releasing him out to get to know the Vale Howlers.

Re: Random Pet Challenge [v4.0]
Anyways! I was tasked with

Looking at the note asking me to go out and search for this turtle, I had left it be for quite sometime. Maybe forgotten it. Who knows? Anyway, I decided to go out and finally make this my first task before anything else. I decided to grab the note, and head out to my old home, Eversong Woods. While there in the past, I saw some turtles of the same variation, and made note. That was my next destination. After much hassle to find a stable keeper, I finally made me way toward the lake they were located at. Finally finding one, I decided to try and make him mine. After waiting a few marvelous seconds, he scuttled over on beside me.

I decided to name him Taz. I really dunno why, I guess just because of that stubbornness he showed. ((fun fact: I used to have a pet turtle named Taz.)) I decided to make him sit in a spot so I could take a good look at him. I was rushed, so I couldn't really see much else of his abilities. He was quite charming, and funny to watch. Ah well. I can see more of what he can do on the battlefield tomorrow.

<There seems to be a photo attached.>

Out of comment! I really liked this. Since I only had 20 minutes, due to being full on pets and running around trying to find a stable master, I only took a good look at him. I liked the model, but it seemed a bit rusty. As in, out dated, but sometimes out-dated stuff is cool. Why fix something that not broken, eh? Anyway, I love turtles in general, so I'm keeping this one for a while, or Atleast until I can used him later this weekend in combat.
On a side note, I'd like another.
