So I am currently farming Lunarfall Carp in my lvl 3 fishing shack. Atm I have killed24. On the 24th kill SEA TURTLE DROPPED!! I was so happy!
So now I only need Riding Turtle! Lets hope it comes soon, I am tired of Fishing! xD

Also, I got a nice surprise as I opened the chest from Ultraxion about 5 minutes ago. As I was opening the chest and saying to a friend on Skype: "Here goes another week of killing this boss for no mounts..."
And the mount pop'd! hahah I can't believe it... Now I only need the Blazing Drake for the normal version of DS and I'll start farming for the Heroic version after!

Finally! After all these years of running many alts. Got it on exactly 400th try according to rarity. I normally am not very lucky with mount so this is really special. I actually came here to check if they somehow had upped the droprate of it.
Had to have my lovebird pet and minipet to go with. Maybe I'll have to get a pink transmog too :p

After a really nice whisper from our Wain I got Silithide!! No screenie as it was right before shutdown but I was so happy - besides Nakk that was the one rare I really wanted <3 I also got normal shoulders from my garrison mission (with a 75% success rate so didn't pin my hopes on it) the ones I really wanted too (the rylak looking ones) so was an awesome night for little Castile all round!

Got really lucky and happened across Pathrunner!! Found a lvl 91 healer battling away so came up and hit it - i was so happy and the healer was equaly happy as he thought I'd saved him lol!!! Had no idea it had a mount It matches my current xmog too don't ya think?

I have been playing WOW since Vanilla and I have always had a love/hate relationship with anything related to mounts: I would get interested in many RNG/luck dependant mounts but I would either waste an overwhelming amount of time camping them until I got them (I could easily write a saga just to tell how I got Aeonaxx's mount) or I would simply have to farm the mounts for years on end until I finally saw something drop (Kael's and Onyxia's mounts come to mind, but I still haven't received the panther from ZG even after over 500 kills and Karazhan's one doesn't want anything to do with me even after years farming it). Saw many mounts drop throughout the years during raids/dungeons but I never managed to get anything, always rolling pityful 1-10 scores (Zulian Tiger ).

That was until last week: the stars were aligned and I looted Mimiron's Head and then right at the first day of this week's reset I also manage to loot Invincible and Al'akir's drake. A friend of mine used to tell me back in the days that no bad luck could last forever and one day I would get rewarded, I guess my time finally arrived.

I hope everyone gets their wish mount(s)! If there's one thing I learned from both my bad luck streak and my good luck streak is that nothing lasts forever. If you are like I was and things never go the way you want in terms of RNG while everyone else seems to be getting what they want don't despair, your time will surely come, you just have to be patient and good things will happen when you least expect.

Strange thing. Normally these mounts (Jeweled Onyx Panther) are over 100k in price, as they take about 80k in mats to make. While browsing the Auction House the other day, I noticed several posted at about 44k. Then today, they were listed for 38k, under another seller.

Puzzled, I did some research. Apparently there has been incidents where people have hacked the game some how and made fake Onyx Panthers - if you ever see anyone advertising one in Trade for a ridiculously low price, don't buy it. The item won't have any "charges" to it, and all you'd be buying is basically the mount icon. However, the auction house verifies items as being legit, with proper "charges" to them, and so any mount listed on there will work properly (and thus is not a hack that we know of?).

I had almost enough gold to buy one, and my hubby was a sweetie and gave me the rest. Now I have a gorgeous new mount which I absolutely love.



I tried to let my friend know about the cheaply listed mounts, but by the time she logged on, all of the Onyx Panthers were taken down. I have no idea what's going on there. Have the mats been reduced in price? Did someone make a bunch and then just wanted to get rid of them? I forgot to get the seller's name, so I couldn't ask. Maybe you guys have seen this before?

Edit: Oh gosh, ok. Did more research this morning. These mounts ARE being duped. According to a Reddit thread the GMs do know about it and they are working on a solution.

I bought mine without realizing precisely what was going on. I was just excited and wanted one so bad! Now I know. Duping these mounts pretty much eradicates all the hard work (and gold) legitimate crafters spend on these things.

So I guess if you see this happening on your realm and want to try to slow it down, report the sellers. If you decide to jump on the chance for a cheap Jeweled Onyx Panther, that's entirely up to you - if bought legitimately off the AH, you technically did nothing wrong. It's just a personal morality thing.
