I could go for that. I'd definitely like having an Elekk running after me, even if that gun is hideous (yaaaaay transmog!)Nachtwulf wrote: Along that line, though... to ME it doesn't so much bother me that the projection, as it were, is set without player input. But it would be a lot better if the projection was different for every gun model... like what if the 'Elekk Gun' gave you a (small) elekk instead of a worg. Or the snake one gave you a snake? It's still more work than just 100 colors of woof, but it's not some vast project comprised of thousands of man-hours either. You'd have 5 (6?) models, with five (or whatever) color variants. And a lot more variety in what's dragging after your character.
I would love that they would do the lightning effect ON every pet model, but like you said, very unfeasible, which is why instead they could give the 'selected' pet the ability of shooting lightning (a spell of some sort due to it being the 'second pet') I don't know the level of programming on that though.
Still, I think it would be nice if they give us a glyph or something to just choose a pet we have as our second like they're doing with the stampede. Something like 'the power of Hati has given you the ability to control 2 of your pets at the same time' where as without the glyph it be like 'the power of the titanstrike has given you the right to call Hati to your side.' something like that, I dunno. I'm not feeling very creative tonight with all the pollen in the air *bleh*
I mean I love Hati's new model and everything, but again, its like us all hunting Gara. We had a connection to Gara because of the hunt we went on, and I'm guessing that's what they're trying to instill in us with the Artifacts....but I don't feel like it extends to Hati for us BMs. And even when we tamed Gara, we had the choice to bring her out or get another one. I personally used Gara a good bit once I tamed her (I still need to tame the green glowing one >.>;; ), but still, I had the choice, I think that's the biggest thing that's off putting to us, we can't choose.
