That's more of a lime green than yellow. Still, it's nice that Shale Beasts got some kind of love. Bet that thing's made of Kajamite.

I'm honestly surprised they never made more colours back in the day. It's a very simple texture and would be easy to modify quickly. I always wanted a blue one.
Meanwhile the Blue Shale Spider from Blackfathom Deep is still not blue.

Would be a great time to make some new shale spiders in general, they feel like such a weird pet family.
Like you could absolutely just slap them in spider/worm respectively. Still, new pets always good.

Here's hopin the new hunter change has some glyphs to change the animals like the new ascended shamans.

I'm not at all excited about the Pack Leader changes.

I play WoW to play my own character, with my own pets that I've chosen to compliment them and even written RP backstory for.

Now I'm stuck with a bunch of pets running in that I have literally no connection to instead of the ones I spent a lot of time camping and taming? Just because that's what a random lore-relevant hunter does?

At this point I just wish they'd let us opt out of hero talents entirely.

As much as I love the changes, hunter hero specs are definitely based off of lore hunters, dark rangers from sylvanas, sentinels from tyrande, and now pack leader is based of rexxar. While I also wish it could have been random summons from our stable, I still like the beasts they chose, pack leader still feels race-neutral compared to dark ranger and sentinel

Would love a customization option so that Alliance can summon gryphons instead of Wyverns or maybe a glyph to customize them to other pre-determined choices so that they can fit the fantasy of the hunter's race.

The "Specializations for hunter pets can now be changed in the stable via a dropdown menu." item isn't listed in the hunter section, but rather the user interface section at the very bottom, so it's easy to miss, even though it's the biggest change to hit hunter pets in many years!
Right as the take pets away from MM. Painful time to be a pet using MM.

The bomb and fungus crabs are probably a bit low res to consider.

I called the shale spider "yellow" but it's kind of a yellow chartreuse and it seems likely it's going to be a kaja'mite shale spider.

God those eels are amazing. Sure hope those make it into the game. As for the crabs,I really hope they make it. Low resolution isn't an argument when they've constantly forgotten that they gave us a massive battle pet in the caterpillar model. Though, I totally know why you don't wanna do the crabs; the bombs and bodies are all interchangeable lol. Whole lot of model variants there.

Yeah I'm not a fan of some of the proposed changes. I don't like MM's play style. Not because it doesn't use pets but because I hate slow casters. I dislike spells you can't use while moving. If they got rid of aimed shot and steady shot I might be more interested in the spec. Visually it's boring since they have been encouraging a pet-less style . I think they are just going to kill the spec. Maybe that's their intention? Hunter is the 3rd most played class in the game, perhaps they are trying to get more folks to play other classes.

Haven’t heard anything positive from anyone so far about the mm changes, rather than removing the use of pets, it should have been a talent node to pick between using pets or the eagle. I heard marksman hunters get a straight up lust button and can choose between cunning or tenacity as talent nodes for the eagle but in this case the hunters themselves. I hope the ptr comes up soon so mm can be tested and feedback should be provided for hunters, especially mm hunters, as for the playstyle, I haven’t been a fan of the long cast times but I’m really interested in leveling another hunter just for mm because all three specs have a different class fantasy
