I'ma take a guess, This looks like the thing in the trailer... The one that was bathed in light, with the split mouth. It's using the gargoyle/gorilla/devourer skeleton... Looks like there's stuff on it's back. I dunno if it'll be tamable.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread
They are confirmed to have a new model that is like the mount's. There pictures aren't in this thread, but I posted some over in the 11.2.5 thread

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

I'm going to guess that we're going to get a Plant family or one similar to how Undead pets work.

Looks like there is either a new reptile or just another hydra in this image

Not likely to be tamable, but there are Void Jellies

New Hawkstrider model

The giant mushroom in the water is an animal. You can see the legs underneath the water. Like a fungus Brutosaur.

New Frog model

Faraway view of the new Dragonhawk. It has three pairs of wings, just like the mount does

Looks like the spider model from Shadowlands, but maybe a new color

New mana wyrm model based-off of the new electric eel from Undermine. A purple variant can be seen in the second image.

Got a closer view of the Hydra. It is a new model. There is also some sort of canine or feline animal next to it

Looks kind of like a giant raven, but different than what we currently have. Might be based off of the mount.

Another view of the pet that the Haranir hunter was with. Looks like a cross between an ottuk and a Salamanther

You can see its head sticking out of the water. It might be using the lapbug model.

Better view of the Plant Devilsaur

Also, the Ghostlands have largely been healed and are teeming with life.
The resolution isn't great with some of these images:
Seeing as we're getting a bunch of other plant animals, it is likely that we'll be getting Mandragoras, too. They are in one of the new zones. You can also see the new bird model, though not terribly well.

Another new mana wyrm. Blue variant

New model for Nalorakk. Probably won't be tamable, even on a different mob.

An up close view of the new mana wyrm

It looks like that mana ray/sporebat is a fungal dragonhawk

A new bat/gargoyle model

Could be a new gryphon model, based-off of the ones from the trading post

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread
You just barely see it, but there is a new beast that looks like it uses the carapid rigging.

The flying void creature is seen in the video for the raids (though not a clear view of it).
You can see its void tail poking out to the left of the A in All. You can see it again before the scene changes. It uses the same model as the flying Nerubian boss in Nerub'ar and the flying creatures in K'aresh.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread
Also, there is a Void and Light Dragonhawk that doesn't have the armor/saddle, so there might be tamable versions of them:

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread
Notes:
- Middle frog might be an old color, but I wasn't sure. Video quality was rough.
- The "armored bird" is entirely new. It had some fancy animations.
- The new Amani bird looks spectacular in motion, watch the panel to see it.
- There are plant creatures with clefthoof/scalehide animations. PETITION FOR THEIR OFFICIAL NAME TO BE ROOTHORN!
- This is the closest I think we've seen he hydra, and a much clearer shot of the lizard's details. Forked tail!

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread
Yay, drust bird will be mine later. The “armored bird” looks to be using somnowl animations, I saw the way it flew in the videos, it has a slight bounce and slower flapping, and for that rhino looking thing, I agree with you 1000% Roothorn fits perfectly, the lizards are pretty cool, with the armor and the two tail tips, which remind me of the K’arocs. The toads are hard to see, can’t blame you, the videos don’t zoom on them, I see it’s possible they have a few new colors in the old model, or it’s just the yellow ones that look weird from the shadingWerebearGuy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 4:48 pm Some nice new views of a plethora of the new beasts we can hope to tame, all from the Developer Panel video.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

Likely the same bat model as is in Shadowlands, but we'll see

Not a new color, but there are still some that have never been used and might be used in this xpac

A Pandaria stag, most likely, but perhaps new colors will be added

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread
Ooh you're right! I didn't pay atention to the amani bird before. It's probably the same kind of bird.WerebearGuy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 6:11 pmif you look at the beaks, there's a similar shape. As cool as a black updated dragonhawk would be, I think it's an Amani bird (eagle, perhaps?) that's used as the flight master mount.
