They just click on it and infuse it with Fel.

So far, I’ve only found one white Hawkstrider, which is on a rare called Harried Hawkstrider. Doesn’t retain its name.

Amazing. The white hawkstrider is on my main taming list, so far midnight has amazing white colored animal looks

Midnight has amazing looks in general. The art team is absolutely on fire this time around compared to TWW. The white hawkstrider is definitely eye catching (as are all of them, but I prefer the white one too), and it has the bonus of being a very faithfully updated model to go along with Blood Elves. It's taken years to finally have a matching mount and pet combo, but it's finally time for hawkstriders to have some spotlight. Beta can't come soon enough. Skip the rest of alpha and let the buy-in players come play ea- I mean help test content sooner than later!

For real though; now that I've actively started playing the game with a more "gamebreaking" perspective, I really want to put that knowledge to use to report more bugs. I'm still scared I'll get banned for reporting bugs again though lol

Once I get into beta, I have to beg and submit lots of feedback to change the armoredon and thunder lizard animations to those of the choloceros, give the dreamrunners the same running animation as the new headless horseman mounts, and can’t forget to suggest tameable razorwings and soul eaters

Some more screenshots from Alpha

The last Cosmic Ray variant is available
Image

At this time, Duskburn is the only Void-infused Mana Wyrm that is tamable.

Image

Sporegliders are quite large even after being tamed, which is fine
Image

Fungal Striders will never be tamable, but they are magnificent
Image

Also, just to confirm what Wain has already said, but Grimlynxes are classified as being Whiptails.

Cool you found a void mana wyrm! I hadn’t come across one.

Sadly, the fungal strider model is truly enormous. When I load it in a model viewer it’s a bit slower than normal snd is laggy to manipulate. So it would probably cause a lot of issues as a pet, unless they make a scaled-down version.

What I'm curious about now is how big the sporebat is in comparison to a new dragonhawk. They use the same animations, but seeing as how scaling affects families differently from one another, I wonder if the two are the same size or if one is bigger than the other.

Sporebat pets have huge scaling in general. I remember shalewings were huge and high up in the air when tamed when they were still sporebats, when they were changed to rays they were shrunk and lowered. As for other scaling, I hope capybaras are large, not like humungous, but like beaver or mole sized since in real life they are huge, bigger than some dogs.

I’ll go tame a Dragonhawk and post a screenshot showing the size of them later on.

There are no tameable cows sadly. They got updated models, but that's it. One day, we'll get them in a family. One day...

I think cows fit in oxen, it can be renamed to bovine. I also saw updated sheep models, but they resemble the legion sheep models, they are more sheeplike in shape.

Cows being tameable as Oxen would be perfect, as would renaming the family to Bovine. Though, they'd need to swap some things around; Shoveltusks are more like goats, and Gazelles are misplaced in the stag family despite being bovines. Would be a crazy cool thing if all of this happened, but I can't see the devs going THAT wild.

Gazelles make sense in stags, same for talbuks which are alien antelope, and they don’t look too different than each other. I look at shoveltusks as bison with weird faces, large tusks and extra antler thingys. As for bruffalons which are similar to cows and oxen should have been in oxen, I’m still lost on why they are placed in stags even though they are more like cows than moose. Funny how we have even toed ungulates in three different families In wow

Oxen = large bovines
Stags = deer and antelope/talbuks
Gruffhorns = goats and sheep with big horns

So far I've been able to locate one Grimlynx that is tamable in Harandar (all others are friendly). This one is a rare that is located north of The Den (main hub for the zone). It is in the Whiptail family.

Now that I get a good look at it, it feels... wrong? Like it looks super flat compared to what the model viewer shows. Is that just me?

They are fine. It leaps into the aid and suddenly appears behind whatever you’re attacking.

That sounds epic. It would of been cool sync with a survival hunter’s harpoon, but gotta let the BMs enjoy their new double tailed cats
