Seriously, though, what Rhy said is true - if it's not your baby being changed, it's someone else's. Which is why I'm scared for Chatter at the moment. >_<I liked the idea of a MASSIVE superbaby, though. *giggle*

Re: Soriid the Devourer
Both Soriid's I have are called Devourer and the Tan rare is Ravager

They are still diabolically evil "insects" - even if I am in control of them!
Just waiting for Grunter now on my Horde char - don't have the pets to waste on my Alliance, so I've just gone for Soriid.

Re: Soriid the Devourer
Yeah, still a no-show.Makoes wrote:...is the Blue scorpions from southern Barrens still MIA on beta?
I even asked on the official Blizzard Cataclysm beta forum if anyone has seen them, and the only response was telling me where they use to be and how the area is now an area that has both main faction camps on either side of the road (ravine now) and how the scorpids aren't there anymore...
...after I already said that in my actual original post...
I have came to the conclusion that my hunters (the ones I have now) will head into Cataclysm with Soriid, Grunter, a blue scorpid, and the white/brown silithid (from Thousand Needles) even if it takes dropping my spirit beasts in order to get them.
The only pet I have right now that I refuse to drop is Aotona... just for the mere fact that it took me over 7 weeks of circling the Basin nightly to tame it... I do not have another pet that took me that long to aquire. My normal "hunt" for new pets has never went over 3-5 days except for Aotona. I am sure since I said that it will take me 5--7 weeks to reaquire all of my Spirit Beasts after Cataclysm.
I will mention that I am trying to hold out til closer to Cataclysm's launch to actually get a pet or two... mainly so I don't go crazy and just drop pets and then find out a month away from Cataclysm that Blizzard is letting the live servers the extra stable slots early... very slim chance on that though.

Re: Soriid the Devourer
There's a very good chance of this happening, since it's what happened with the two extra stable slots before the launch of Wrath.pentupanger wrote:I will mention that I am trying to hold out til closer to Cataclysm's launch to actually get a pet or two... mainly so I don't go crazy and just drop pets and then find out a month away from Cataclysm that Blizzard is letting the live servers the extra stable slots early... very slim chance on that though.
That said, you'll probably do better on retrieving your spirit beasts after the initial rush dies down. Northrend will empty out and spirit beasts will be around.

Re: Soriid the Devourer
Are you referring to when they give us patch 3.0 - which is effectively WOTLK minus the ability to go to Northrend etc? It gives us all the new changes to classes etc.
The difference being in that that was a new content they could lock away until it was officially out.
This time the continents we're already on are getting changed - so it might mean the old world disappeares the instant patch 4.0 comes out. Although all the new Cataclysm zones (80+) are unavailable, the rest of Azeroth will be effected immediately - and that'll take the new pets along with it. I'm not sure waiting for patch 4.0 (but not when Cata is unlocked fully) for the extra stables is going to allow you to tame the beasts that are available pre-4.0.
I think it's one or the other... Get the pets you want to take into Cataclysm now - sacrifice ones you can get again if you have to, to get the ones that won't be available at all after Deathwing emerges.

Re: Soriid the Devourer
You know, that's a totally valid point. Someone should ask Blizzard in clear terms (like you just put it) if that's the plan.Darknez wrote:@Kalliope
