Seriously, though, what Rhy said is true - if it's not your baby being changed, it's someone else's. Which is why I'm scared for Chatter at the moment. >_<
No no lol... baby comes from the egg Gypsy lays just before going into her crysalis...
Heeeee, figured that after I posted. ;) I liked the idea of a MASSIVE superbaby, though. *giggle*
Hmm... like Baby Huey. Only, chitinous, dripping bug mucus, and ... evil.

Was camping this one this morning around 3:30am when a guildie spoke up in guild that one of the Spirit Beasts was up :( I only need 1 more to have all 4, and it turned out to be the one i needed :( Now I don't have room in stable for all these that I want.

Edit, woot, killed my raiding wolf :) got this guy, now, did you all change his name or leve it default?

Managed to just grab Soriid the Devourer and Silithid Ravager on my new and recently lvl 60 Horde BE hunter...
Both Soriid's I have are called Devourer and the Tan rare is Ravager ;)

They are still diabolically evil "insects" - even if I am in control of them!

Just waiting for Grunter now on my Horde char - don't have the pets to waste on my Alliance, so I've just gone for Soriid.

Yeah, still a no-show.

I even asked on the official Blizzard Cataclysm beta forum if anyone has seen them, and the only response was telling me where they use to be and how the area is now an area that has both main faction camps on either side of the road (ravine now) and how the scorpids aren't there anymore...

...after I already said that in my actual original post...

I have came to the conclusion that my hunters (the ones I have now) will head into Cataclysm with Soriid, Grunter, a blue scorpid, and the white/brown silithid (from Thousand Needles) even if it takes dropping my spirit beasts in order to get them.

The only pet I have right now that I refuse to drop is Aotona... just for the mere fact that it took me over 7 weeks of circling the Basin nightly to tame it... I do not have another pet that took me that long to aquire. My normal "hunt" for new pets has never went over 3-5 days except for Aotona. I am sure since I said that it will take me 5--7 weeks to reaquire all of my Spirit Beasts after Cataclysm.

I will mention that I am trying to hold out til closer to Cataclysm's launch to actually get a pet or two... mainly so I don't go crazy and just drop pets and then find out a month away from Cataclysm that Blizzard is letting the live servers the extra stable slots early... very slim chance on that though.

I need more hunters, IMO.

There's a very good chance of this happening, since it's what happened with the two extra stable slots before the launch of Wrath.

That said, you'll probably do better on retrieving your spirit beasts after the initial rush dies down. Northrend will empty out and spirit beasts will be around.

Tamed Soriid a couple of days ago, just in case we can keep the changed beastie.
Named him ParamitePie (yay Oddworld references) Had to drop my ravager, ScrabCakes for him though.
And damn, Grunter will just not show up for me at all. Damn sneaky swine >:(

@Kalliope
Are you referring to when they give us patch 3.0 - which is effectively WOTLK minus the ability to go to Northrend etc? It gives us all the new changes to classes etc.
The difference being in that that was a new content they could lock away until it was officially out.

This time the continents we're already on are getting changed - so it might mean the old world disappeares the instant patch 4.0 comes out. Although all the new Cataclysm zones (80+) are unavailable, the rest of Azeroth will be effected immediately - and that'll take the new pets along with it. I'm not sure waiting for patch 4.0 (but not when Cata is unlocked fully) for the extra stables is going to allow you to tame the beasts that are available pre-4.0.

I think it's one or the other... Get the pets you want to take into Cataclysm now - sacrifice ones you can get again if you have to, to get the ones that won't be available at all after Deathwing emerges.

You know, that's a totally valid point. Someone should ask Blizzard in clear terms (like you just put it) if that's the plan.

Ew, yeah, I didn't think of it that way. X_x Looks like I better get Soriid now. Rak'shiri will be there when I need to get her back (heck, if I'm lucky we'll get the orange riding tiger model someone posted from WMV!!!)

i am not one for silithids really mostly since i am bm/surv and spend most my time as a surv hunter but after seeing the pic of sorrid in his new model.... i changed my mind so im going after him now -_- let my nether ray go but ill get him back. he is on a mini vaction :) so im on my way to tanaris now to see if he is up to get him. yeah there might be a chance he dont change but... ill just get him just in case :) and on his size i could care less if he is 1foot tall or 100.

Do we know if he's still tameable or not? Have been seeing alot of posts about him not being tameable anymore.
