*grumble grumble* "Only" 101 runs for me, and who knows how many I'll have to do for Anzu.....I wish just once, juuuust once, I could get lucky and get something awesome like that on the first or even tenth run.

Do remember I've been trying FIVE YEARS on and off and never seen any trace of him, anything less is to meSaturo wrote:You think 80 runs is lucky? My Petopians DK got it on her first run, at level 65 or something like that. :d

My main's a Druid so I of course love critters. That counts for something right? Right?

But also before the patch that raised the drop chance to roughly 1/100, the drop chance was something abysmal like 1/5000. So I don't even count the scant attempts I did in Vanilla and BC.

Since they upped it I've been farming at least once a week, once a day since this thread appeared and I'm still deniedRhyela wrote:But also before the patch that raised the drop chance to roughly 1/100, the drop chance was something abysmal like 1/5000. I farmed for this mount of three toons sense pre bc. As soon as I hit 70 and was able to solo the place, I dedicated 5-6 runs a night for it.
I never saw it drop on ANY of them.
Wrath comes, and I got my human DK to 70.. and I figure, what they hey..
Died so many times it was not funny, gear in the red three times needing to leave, repair, come back.
About ready to freaking give it up. But was so close.. one more tower.
Nearly gave up after dieing twice to the aboms out side.. ugh..
Then I fight the big man, nearly died on him (that place is SO DK-unfriendly)
Guess what freaking drops.

The few times I've seen something like that I really, really want....I lose the roll.

Maybe it'll drop in Naxx now? It has to keep dropping though, I doubt Blizzard would stop it for good.

I am so happy I already got mine, 6th run! I was expecting way more than that though...at least 30 runs.

Re: Baron's Deathcharger - Retired in Cataclysm?
I'm supposedly at 110 runs now (HA, it's way higher than that) and still nothing. Really hoping it finally decides to put an appearence before I go away tomorrow so I can concentrate on somehting remotely interesting when I get back.

Re: Baron's Deathcharger - Retired in Cataclysm?
Ummmm hey guys..? I was browsing Cata achievements and I found this: http://db.mmo-champion.com/a/729/deathchargers-reins/ I guess the new Baron drops the mount as well....YAY
Many thank you's to Siliverin for the best siggy ever, and also hugs and love to kamoodle5 for my most amazazing avatar. <3
Re: Baron's Deathcharger - Retired in Cataclysm?
I'm glad I read this, I had no idea it is likely to go come cata. I am grinding for my Insane title (which is currently on hold as it's staying come cata) and was planning on farming this mount seriously while doing the many strat runs for stitchings. /sigh

Re: Baron's Deathcharger - Retired in Cataclysm?
I ran Strat solo on my pally sooo many times. Most of them back when the box trick still worked.
I got exalted rep. I got enough runecloth to choke a clefthoof.
Never saw that darn mount.
Well, one day some friends of ours were in there just hoping to complete it for the achieve. They were around 70-ish, and not having much luck. I agreed to come in on my 80 pally, and hubby brought his 80 druid as healer. We steamrolled through, and of course the baron picks RIGHT THEN to drop the mount.
And of course my hubby won the roll. Thank goodness he still considered his druid an alt, not his collector toon! I talked him into selling it to me for 1500g.
