and it's fricking perfect, considering the stupidity that has gone on down here in the southeast lately.

has anyone actually taken this guy into a raid situation?
with all the different classes that cleanse and purge and cure and decurse and whatnot, i wonder if there is a way for some other class in your group to remove this buff from him.
i suppose i could take mine into icc tonite and find out for myself, but seeing as how i had to bribe an ally with 350g to help me out, i'd rather not risk it.

Several people mentioned taking their oily wolves into raids and whatnot.
I can tell you myself from personal experience that nothing in a regular raiding environment has effected the oil buff.
I've taken my wolfie into ICC in both 10 and 25 man, and even against the LK with no adverse effects

Mine lost it in Arena, but someone else took theirs in Arena and didn't have a problem. To be safe though, I'm not taking my newly tamed wolf into arena.
(i didnt try bgs yet)

BGs don't wipe debuffs the way the arena starting area does, so they should be fine.

an idea for you, ask the horde players if anyone has an alliance toon 70-73 ~ offer 500g, that might work

I got him! I joined the site just to share. A very big thank you to Kyonarai and to Zeilla8 for the video and instructions. It took me about 5-6 tries, because I kept placing the traps too close or too far, but only took us about 5 minutes. The person that was helping me was very helpful and patient. I gave him/her 200g for their services. I named him Darkmatter for the science geek in me.

Being the weirdo I am .................. I'm beginning to get this fear that if people keep doing this it's going to get nerfed by Blizz.

I agreed zed, tho i think by nerfing it they will let us keep the ones we have and change the ones in the wild. easy fix would just remove that quest, nobody can do it again but we keep the pet. I dont think they will take it away from us at htis point since its only 1-3 people on an entire server will have him

To be honest I hope they do nerf this =3 this is my first unique pet, I was on a wowbreak when the standing worg came out, I was in a diff country
and far from any computer when the ooze, hydra, spirit croc came out, and I wasn't even around when the spirit wolf was tameable =/....
the only thing that scares me is the fact that many people have mentioned that their wolf go back to normal xD
That's why I'll be extra carefull with this guy and will only strut him around in major cities and raid with him

I posted it there for the fact that not everyone comes to petopia forum, i would love to see many hunters roaming around with this before it is nerfd which is inevitable!
But think about it... there will be no specific patch to nerf this. So why not spread the word while we still can?!
I really hope you didn't plan on keeping this info for petopians only right?
