First: The Collector's Edition of StarCraft II is apparently going to include a WoW in-game mini-pet that "can be applied to all World of Warcraft characters on a single Battle.net account".
Honestly, I'm not sure how to feel about this. On the one hand, it's very clever cross-over advertising. On the other hand, I don't play StarCraft and there's no way I'm shelling out for a Collector's Edition of a game I don't play. *shrug*
Second: Warcraft Pets has news of an new add-on that will let mini-pet owners interact with their pets in a more hunter-like fashion. Says Warcraft Pets:
This is all add-on based, of course, not native game code. But it sounds like a very intriguing addition on multiple levels.Essentially, PetsPlus makes your companions more interactive by adding a happiness indicator and reputation to each pet in your collection. Pet owners can create new levels of relationships with their pets as they respond to certain emotes and actions. Emote responses for each pet can be further customized and "trained" by the player.
