Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

Hopefully the tenacity blue aura will be gone in a build or two. It wasn’t intended.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

Cool you found a void mana wyrm! I hadn’t come across one.

Sadly, the fungal strider model is truly enormous. When I load it in a model viewer it’s a bit slower than normal snd is laggy to manipulate. So it would probably cause a lot of issues as a pet, unless they make a scaled-down version.

Re: Patch 11.2.7

Wait and see what happens, but hopefully non-Pandas will be able to get there too. I’ve wanted windsteeds since Pandaria was live. I’m so looking forward to this. I hope the other colours make it in, too. I want one of each. But I’ll probably mostly run with a red one and a white one. I remember usi...

Oh, cool. It has animations now!

Originally in the modelviewer it was just a very... stiff rod.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

I've re-taken all the dreamrunner shots for the original and Bastion models (since they have the same form and we group them together) and added more looks to our database. There are now three possible forms each base texture can take: - just the texture (this is what the new Eversong NPCs use - Bas...

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

I *think* all I currently have left to add are the new dreamrunner looks (which are mostly older textures (besides the pink) but on the other model).

Can anyone think of anything I missed? Besides all those kaiju things that aren't going to be tameable.

Oh, and the lynx with the tiara!

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

... and this one lonely fungal strider, which is unlikely to ever be tameable. It has no family, but also it seems to be very massive in the model viewer and would probably require a scaled-down version.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

I didn't add much tonight, but I think I'm actually almost done with this phase.

Just these three light and dark phoenixes:

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

Finally for last night's additions: Consumptors - also in the Worm family.

This model reminds me a little of the jawlcrawlers from TWW, though more rocky.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

Mukleeches are a great and creepy new addition to the worm family, and in a range of great, shiny colours.

I saw a bunch in Zul Aman, but I'm not sure how many are currently tameable.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

These colourful new toads are actually part of a new model, though it's identical in shape to the BfA dire toad (the non-loa one). As a result I've included them in the existing Dire Toad model on Petopia.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

Amani eagles. There's a pretty nice range of new colours for this model (including four undead looks) most nothing like we've seen before on other eagles.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

Models added yesterday: Dragonhawks! Another stunning Eversong model. I included the light-infused one. There doesn't seem to be a void non-mount equivalent but I hope that one is coming. Also note that the second-last look (the kind of dull golden one) is me copying the light dragonhawk skin to the...

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

Has anyone noticed how faithful the new mana wyrms are to the TBC cinematic mana wyrm. The Midnight art team is so far one of the best. The attention to detail with this one is just 100/10, from the red nose to the fading look that makes it the superior mana wyrm model Yes!! They did such an awesom...

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

Finally for today, Thornmaws, which I assume are like plant-pangolins. They're in the Scalehide family. Another pet that requires the Florafaun taming skill. I really hope that skill isn't *too* hard to get or it's going to restrict a very large % of new creatures from taming by most players. On top...

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

Potatoads are tameable in the Hopper family. They're kind of a goofy (in a fun way) model so I wasn't sure if they'd be flagged as tames.

Almost certainly they'll require the Florafaun taming skill.

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

This fen strider update (which I'm calling Mire Stalkers, for want of a consistent name) is beautiful, but I'm not sure what's happening with them at this stage. So far, they're all classed as elementals on Wowhead and have no family. There's no good reason for them to be florafaun as they're clearl...

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread

This look isn't a Midnight one, but rather has been added to the database for 11.2.7. But I may as well post it here with the rest. flymaldraxxus_bronze It's a brand-new (and very gorgeous) corpsefly look! But currently not known from a wild creature. Its reason for existing is that a few mounts hav...
