Re: Hunters will be stacking expertise in MoP
Well, given that real tanks won't be gunning for the Parry cap, but just the Dodge cap (if they make Expertise/Hit worth it for tanks), so they can still get enough defensive stats, I doubt it will hurt your pets much either. Besides, isn't that was Misdirection is for anyways? I might suggest getti...

Re: 10 day pet buffs? Strange pet bug...
Not the first time I've seen this. And it's not exclusive to us Hunter's. A guildie returned to WoW to start playing Cataclysm a little late, but couldn't use her Felguard (Demo Lock). It had the "Summoning Disorientation" debuff for like 20 day duration, and that outright stuns the pet. W...

Re: How to level tenacity pets
I would suggest daily quests. I know the Dragonmaw/Wildhammer ones involve alot of killing, with the attacks back and forth on the ruins of Thundermar. Likely one of the better places for it.
Also, Tol Barad Dailies. Always killing level 85s, so good XP there too.

You skipped over Ghamoo-ra, the turtle boss from Blackfathom Deeps. While not a rare spawn, he is the only tamable turtle using the same model as Tortolla from Hyjal. *pats Adamantoise on the shell*

Re: Blue Beetle: Is It Just Me? (possible quest spoilers)
Quest is based on the movie Starship Troopers. Which isn't much better but you can sort of get over it seeing as how they're slaughtering everyone throughout the movie. BRAIN BUG. You mean before they made the sequel that was screeching Oh it's the bad humans making the war machine happen and the b...

Re: How to solve problems with aquatic pets
That could work for the normal skill. Exotic skills tend to be a cut above, skills normal pets don't get at all.
I suppose it could carry the +5% Str/Agi/Stam/Int buff the Shale Spider has.

Squid wins there. Them buggers are CRAFTY!
Hmmm... what skills though?
Disarm for the "normal" skill, and hrmmm... I dunno for the Exotic skill.

Re: How to solve problems with aquatic pets
Give Hunters a level 85 skill (or even a quest) to obtain Aquatic Training. They can only be called out in the zones that make up the Vashj'ir area, Thousand Needles, Frozen Sea, etc. (highly submerged areas). Go onto dry land, and they automatically despawn. I think I could see the best way to clas...

Re: Which one Wolf or Spirit Beast?
Personally, I think Spirit Beast should be an umbrella family, and each pet in it keeps it's proper species' ability, and get classed as Ferocity/Tenacity/Cunning to match. Loque/Gondria - Both Cats, so they keep Roar of Courage Skoll/Karoma - Furious Howl instead Arcturis - Switches to Tenacity and...

Re: The nerf to instance experience buggered our pets =/
If regulars are giving proper XP, and you still want JP, chain-run the non-heroic ICC 5-mans. They get JP per boss even on normal, same as a Heroic. Just saying, as it is a possible compromise. But yeah, I'd say going into Icecrown and just slaughtering the fields of them ghosts that come in 5-8 pac...

Just get a friend/guildie to come summon up a few for you. Not everyone is gonna re-clear every zone for Loremaster

Re: To all those who didn't get their ant...
Again: Not all Hotfixes apply immediately. Alot of them that change actual in-game interactable elements (like quest objectives, NPCs, etc) require a server restart. And I can't grab a SS right now, but I got the quest names: Horde: Silithissues Alliance: Working the Bugs Out Objective is the same: ...

Re: To all those who didn't get their ant...
Many hotfixes require your realm to be restarted. I know the change to the Horde's [Ashenvale Quests] achievement went live instantly, cause I had 73/80, and now it's (backend anyways) only 62 total to get it, and I have it, yet it says 73/80 in it's progress. So, wait til that happens. As to where ...

Re: To all those who didn't get their ant...
Where you tame them all at? i tryed get green ant from tanaris and not tamble.. Only the tan one, in Southern Barrens can be. I know the Horde gets a quest to throw fire down the silithid mounds, and like 6 of them come out to attack. Only time I've seen em. Minor point to the Swarmers: They still ...

Re: To all those who didn't get their ant...
My Ant has a spot in my ranks with her other sisters.
Sandy (Purple Silithid)
Cindy (Tan Ant Silithid)
Mindy (Yellow Silithid Wasp)
Yes, they are the Magus Sisters.
I guess this means we may see more of the Ant-style models become tamable soon.

Re: To all those who didn't get their ant...
What I think the second part means is, that the pets that did carry talents from one tree into another, won't have any talents from the old tree anymore, and to get the new ones properly, would have to reset their talents.

To all those who didn't get their ant...
This is from the list of Hotfixes deployed today (December 2nd): Hunters * Silithid Swarmers are now tamable by hunters. * Hunter pets that changed pet families prior to patch 4.0.3 will no longer retain their previous talents on top of the new Cataclysm pet talents. Hunters will have to untalent th...

Re: Pet Usage Flowchart and Ability Spreadsheet
Ummm, none of the tables have the Worm pet listed. Exotic, Tenacity, Physical Damage Debuff, Nature Damage AoE (Drops Threat) And the Chimaera AoE is Nature-Frost Hybrid (just for purpose of elemental immune targets). Similarily, the Dragonhawk and Wind Serpent debuffs are Fire and Nature based, res...

Re: "Essential" pet families for raiding?
This is something that is also dependent on your spec. BM should have a Core Hound for sure. It's a Ferocity Pet, and brings Bloodlust if you lack a Mage or Shaman at 85. Very helpful. Marksman should have a pet with a Bleed modifier likely, being a Boar, since Rhinos are Exotic, as it will help wit...

Re: Aoe pets
Really, no one pet trumps for AoE, with 2 exceptions (and require level 69). Any Tenacity (Tank) pet can learn Thunderstomp. I suppose the Bear would be the best, with Demoralizing Roar, if only to lower the physical incoming damage by 10%. Otherwise, if you want a true AoE pet, it requires you to b...
