Re: Killing hunter pets...
Why would you...ever go for a hunter pet if you can hit the hunter? If the hunter is close enough to shoot me, he is my target, period, the end. If the hunter is running away then sure, I'll waylay the pet before they disappear.

Re: Loque worth the long fight?
I spent a year looking for him on a heavily populated server, where if there weren't at LEAST five other hunters alliance side hunting him, then there were fifteen other farmers farming rares/collecting in the area. That being said, I love Loque. Very much. It was worth the frustration to me.

Re: Analysis of new Pet Abilities
Can't post any numbers, the patch isn't up on Beta yet. Also keep in mind that those formulas on MMO-champion are EXTREMELY wonky, and that's at best. It'll be a nerf, and probably a hefty one, but I am almost positive that it's being blown way out of proportion. Also Slick, it was hitting as hard ...

Re: Warlock Pets > Hunter Pets
Just tossing it in here, but Doomguards are now summoned like Infernals, and stick around for the same amount of time. No need for a five man group. Also, Succubus's DPS has been buffed, Felguards have gotten two new abilities to the tune of Felstorm ((Blade storm for Felguards)) and Axetoss. So yes...

Re: Analysis of new Pet Abilities
KC is fine. It was way to powerful for what it was before, an instant attack low cooldown ability. It's still doing VERY respectable damage, and you'd never want to hit arcane shot if KC was off of cooldown. Unless your pet just wasn't in range or something.

Re: Cata - more group-oriented than previous expansions/vers
Eh, I'd say Vanilla was more group intensive then Cataclysm. With fourty man raiding and even all kinds of group quests in outdoor areas, back then you pretty much needed a guild to do anything major. Even PvP, if you REALLY wanted those major titles, required for you to have a constant, solid group...

Re: If you don't like it, why did you waste so much time?
I seen plenty of hunters that want to play the "ranger" class and want nothing to do with pets to the point of not even using them in instances. They are one step above melee hunters in the /facepalm hall of shame. And WHY, exactly? I happen to enjoy SHOOTING with a GUN. I don't enjoy hav...

Re: Warlock Pets > Hunter Pets
Felguards will also always win in multi-target fights, ESPECIALLY with Felstorm. But single target, well maintained, a BM pet will beat a felguard in damage.

Re: Warlock Pets > Hunter Pets
It's kind of odd at the moment. Hunter pets just became EXTREMELY reliant on focus and on focus staying as high as possible, which requires a lot of management. Done well, BM pet's are beating Demonologies minions. BUT demonology requires a lot less effort to work with. Felguards did just pick up tw...

Re: If you don't like it, why did you waste so much time?
Knock it off, people. Just because you don't agree with some one else does not make them wrong. And the DEFINITELY doesn't give you the right to call some one a 'lameass' Lula, even if you are kidding. Its just a matter of playstyle. Just because you don't get it, doesn't mean that other people can'...

Re: Spirit Mend
This is a SUPPLIMENTAL HEAL. 6 to 7000 non-critical over ten seconds IS piddly, and in the world of even five man Cataclysm, is a fairly low number. It's also once every 28 seconds taking into account longevity. I'm not saying it isn't useful, but it isn't as useful as some of you are making it out ...

Re: Spirit Mend
A spirit beast won't do less damage then a devilsaur or wolf per se, but that five percent critical will boost them up into more useful territory. That being said, I can see SPirit mend being a useful supplimental heal, even more so if you have that 5% critical buff already covered, like a ten man w...

Re: Spirit Mend
Alright, I am sorry but this is nothing NEAR a strong heal. People have upwards of fifty thousand hit points in Catacylsm, and mobs deal a TON of damage. This is a piddly heal at best. Also, you can't get a spirit beast until at LEAST 74. Even if spirit beasts start cropping up in say, old Azeroth, ...

Re: Blizzard's Cataclysm reasoning with Exotics.
Really, I don't see the point of complaining about it. Blizzard could've been total asses and said "No more abilities period! Whats in the tree is what you get!" I ask the complainers....would you rather that instead where pets didnt get to be a little unique then? Always remember before ...

Re: Spirit Mend
Completely wrong come Cataclysm, Saturo. BM burst is on par with MM and SV at the VERY least, with the potential to be above it with the way pets are hitting.

Re: Analysis of new Pet Abilities
It is entirely functional. It does what it's supposed to do, and pet's basic attacks have been buffed to compensate for a lack of a damaging ability, bringing most pets on par with each other within their respective groupings. That being said, this flies entirely in the face of Blizzards "Bring...
