Games are supposed to be fun, and these new pet abilities are not fun. That's the deal breaker for me.
IF I decide to play at all during this expansion, I will absolutely not be playing a hunter.

Re: Jumping pets?
It would usually take longer than two seconds to use EotB and jump your pet down, so it's actually better in that respect. I just really enjoyed EotB personally and I'm not happy about them removing it. They probably did it because of hunters being able to use their pets to bug out encounters while ...

Re: New Passive Skill
As far as making BM a viable tank spec, the only problem I see with using a pet to tank is that you would need to control the pet directly to do a lot of the things a tank does. They already got rid of Eyes of the Beast.

Don't forget that while there are people at blizzard who genuinely want to provide the best gaming experience possible, there are others who don't see WoW as a form of literary and artistic expression. They see it as a business, and the players as a herd of cattle. They don't respect you for signing...

Re: Huzzah! the purple spider is finally tameable!
I like the bright purple color, but sporebats are still my favorite pets, aesthetically speaking.
I used a black widow for a long time, just to be different, but I don't think I'd use that one.

Re: Black gem cat skin to test
Yes, I realize that now. I hadn't even tried it since it was changed right after they nerfed the ghost wolf, and I've got no idea when they reverted it. Most likely the 3.0 patch. I never bothered to try taming anything that interrupts, and never considered that haste would help me, because I never ...

Re: Plea for realistic dogs
I could be wrong, but I believe the old wolf and worg models were Michel Koiter's style. It's beyond a lost cause trying to get anything he made replaced, regardless of the fact that it would be a waste of their time and money.

Oh, hardy har har. I'm rolling. My dog had to dial 911 because I passed out after I fell out of my chair.
No really. Pet talent trees.

I want sharks. I don't care how silly they would look swimming next to me in the air.
More importantly, has there been any word on the pet trees?

Re: Tortolla, a new turtle look
There is concept art of a volcano turtle, and several giant turtles chained up in a volcanic area that are probably using the default model until it's finished.

The emerald owls are tamable and they're not even exotic, yet you never see anyone using them. Poor cunning pets.

Re: Black gem cat skin to test
Even if they were tamable again, you couldn't tame one. The meta gem that was used no longer cuts your next cast time in half. You'd need an unrealistic amount of haste to make up for that, even if it worked. Edit: I just tested the effect of haste on this spell for myself. I never expected blizzard...

Exactly.
The spell, "Tame Beast" cannot be made faster by any means.

Haste has not had any effect on tame beast since a few months after the ghost wolf incident.

What if the level 10 BM ability was a shot that had a different effect depending on your current pet?

Re: Black gem cat skin to test
Even if tamable, you would never be able to actually tame a swarming guardian because they have no aggro table and randomly switch targets. That is why everyone stands together to AE them when they spawn.
