I understand the horrible feeling. Blue Madexx was killed in front of me right as NPC scanner went off because Deathwing flew overhead. He killed everything in the area including me. D: I got the achievement, though.
We just need to keep at it, and one day, it will be ours.

I think I might have confirmed the 12 hour spawn timer on my server..I need to log in again in twelve hours to see. He spawned for me yesterday and I tamed him at about 7:30pm, woke up this morning and just tamed him again a 7:30am. Both bronze colored.

I tried this last night on a Ghostpaw Alpha with no luck. The macro still works for abandoning, just not with appearance buff pets. It was fun while it lasted.

I haven't done this recently, but here's what I did: Start taming. No frost traps here. While taming, spam the /script PetAbandon() macro.Spam all the way to the end,don't wait for a flash of light.
